How Dormeli handles your family's information

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, and login credentials; your subscription status and transaction references from payment providers (Apple or Stripe); baby profile details, sleep logs, plan history, and preferences; an optional baby photo you choose to add; and the content of chat messages or support requests. On our website we also collect limited usage and advertising-measurement information, described in “Analytics and advertising measurement” below. The Dormeli mobile app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not collect mobile advertising identifiers or track you across other companies' apps and websites. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device. If you use a guest or free experience, some data may be stored locally on your device before you create an account.

How we use information

We use information to personalize guidance, create and update sleep plans, maintain diary and chat history, authenticate users, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, keep the service reliable and secure, respond to support requests, and communicate important service, billing, or policy updates.

Analytics and advertising measurement

On the Dormeli website we use Google Analytics (provided by Google) to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors move through the site, the approximate region derived from an IP address, and general device and browser information. We also use RedTrack to measure advertising performance: when you arrive from one of our ads, RedTrack records the campaign that brought you and stores a click identifier so we can tell which campaigns lead to signups. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate page performance as well.

This measurement tells us how our marketing performs. We do not use your baby profile, sleep diary, plan history, or chat content for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information. Pages that carry a private access link, including assessment and continuation links, are deliberately excluded from analytics so those links are never sent to a third party. These tools run on the website only and are not present in the Dormeli mobile app.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your display theme, and support the analytics and advertising measurement described above. Cookies set for advertising measurement are stored for up to 90 days. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may sign you out or affect how parts of the site work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser opt-out add-on. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

AI features and sensitive context

Chat and plan-generation features may use third-party AI infrastructure to process the text you submit so Dormeli can generate responses. Please avoid sharing information you do not want processed for that purpose, especially highly sensitive medical details unrelated to sleep coaching. Dormeli is designed for educational guidance and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support.

How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Dormeli — including hosting and database storage (Supabase), authentication (Sign in with Apple), payment processing (Apple and Stripe), transactional email (Resend), AI model providers (OpenAI) that process the text you submit to generate sleep guidance, and website analytics and advertising-measurement providers (Google and RedTrack) as described above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. We may retain limited backup, billing, fraud-prevention, or audit records for longer where appropriate.

Your choices and rights

You can choose whether to create an account, what information to provide, and whether to continue from guest mode into a synced account. You can delete your account and its data from the website under Profile, or in the mobile app from the Profile tab menu. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time through your browser settings. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate business, billing, safety, or legal reasons.

Children's information

Dormeli is intended for use by parents, guardians, or other adults. Information about children is collected only as provided by the adult user for the purpose of generating sleep guidance inside the service. Dormeli is not directed to children as independent users.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Dormeli and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than where you live. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions, subject to applicable safeguards where required.

Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date above. Continued use of Dormeli after changes become effective means the updated policy applies to your use, to the extent permitted by law.
